Recovery Partners Montgomery partners with organizations that provide Homeless services and resources. Additionally, some of our Peers in training and Certified Peer Recovery Specialists lead groups at programs that provide support and services to homeless individuals.

Montgomery County DHHS Shelter Services provides of services to homeless individuals and families. Services include: outreach, emergency shelter, transitional housing, and permanent supportive housing. Services are provided primarily through partnerships and contracts with community non-profit organizations. DHHS Housing Stabilization staff provide emergency assessment services to homeless families with children. Emergency shelter capacity for individuals expands during the winter months. Case management services are provided to all homeless clients to link clients to needed services, including housing referrals, treatment, employment and entitlements.
Montgomery County DHHS Emergency Eviction Prevention provides crisis intervention assistance to qualified individuals and families. Includes emergency financial assistance and/or shelter to families and adults who are homeless, at high risk of losing housing (eviction, put out, foreclosure), victims of individual or community disasters, or persons stranded from their homes. Help is also available for overdue utility payments and burial assistance. Welfare avoidance grants (WAG) are available for eligible temporary cash assistance applicants. Employment support grants are available for approved participants in the employment services (Welfare-to-Work) program.
The Wells/Robertson House located in the City of Gaithersburg provides transitional housing for homeless men and women who have undergone alcohol/drug treatment or received other professional counseling and want to break the cycle of homelessness. The goal of the House is to provide people with a clean, safe, sober, long-term environment in which to pull their lives back together, become committed to a program of recovery and learn the skills necessary to allow them to become independent, sober, contributing members of the community. Wells/Robertson House is the only facility of this kind in all of Montgomery County. It is one of only two in the entire state of Maryland.
